1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Focus desktop application (the "Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. Early Beta Status

Focus is currently provided as "Early Beta" software. This means the Software is actively under development. Features may change, break, or be removed entirely without notice. The Software is provided free of charge during this beta period, but Ripple Studios reserves the right to introduce paid features in the future.

3. License & Acceptable Use

Ripple Studios grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software for your own personal time intelligence and activity tracking.

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software.
  • Use the Software maliciously to monitor other individuals without their consent.
  • Resell or redistribute the Software.

4. Informational Use Only

Focus is a personal intelligence tool, not a legal compliance tool.

The time tracking and activity data provided by Focus is for informational purposes only. Ripple Studios explicitly states that the Software is not designed, represented, or certified as:

  • Certified payroll data collection software.
  • Legally compliant attendance or employee monitoring software.
  • Software compliant with specific regional labor laws (e.g., Spanish working-time compliance).

You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Software complies with local employment and privacy laws.

5. Disclaimer of Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIPPLE STUDIOS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

6. Discontinuation & Updates

Ripple Studios reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Software at any time. The Software may automatically download and install updates from GitHub Releases to ensure stability and security.

7. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ripple Studios operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
